The Fabric Inspection and Rolling Machine by Niruma Textile Machinery combines two operations in one machine: fabric inspection and fabric rolling. The operator spreads the fabric on the inclined inspection table, scans it visually for weaving faults, colour variation, stains, holes and other defects, and simultaneously rolls it into a tight, even roll — without removing the fabric from the machine.

Crease control and straight rolling are handled by a bow pipe / scroll roll and a selvage guider, which keeps the roll edge straight and the winding tension even. Speed is controlled by an AC inverter variable frequency drive, so the same machine can run slowly for detailed defect checking and fast for bulk rolling. CNC-aligned rollers with shafts in perfect alignment ensure smooth fabric movement without snagging.

How It Works — Operator Notes

Spread the fabric onto the inclined inspection table, align the selvage with the selvage guider and set the desired speed on the AC inverter VFD. Run the machine slowly first for defect inspection, then increase speed for bulk rolling.

The bow pipe / scroll roll should be positioned to give a slight bow across the fabric width. This is what prevents crease formation as the fabric winds onto the roll.

Use the tension controls to suit fabric weight — light fabrics need lower tension than denim or canvas. Roll quality is usually judged on edge straightness, which is controlled directly by the selvage guider.
