How It Works — Operator Notes

Align the fabric edge with the inch graduation on the guide plate, then bring the lever down in one smooth movement. The hardened blade enters the cut and exits cleanly, giving a consistent zigzag swatch.

Because the cutting force comes from the lever, this machine handles stiffer and heavier material than a light flywheel cutter. If you need to cut very deep plies above 40 mm, we recommend our automatic worm gear box sample cutting machine instead.

Keep the guide plate clean and free of lint. Lint trapped under the guide plate is the most common cause of samples coming out at inconsistent sizes. Blade replacement is a simple, low-cost maintenance item.
